Ingredients For Haleem:-

  • Meat (mutton/chicken )-1kg
  • Chana dal-1/4cup
  • Arhar dal-1/4 cup 
  • Moong dal-1/4 cup
  • urad dal-1/4 cup
  • Masoor dal-1/4 cup
  • Rice-1/2 cup
  • Wheat-3/4 cup
  • Chopped Onion-1 cup
  • Black pepper powder
  • Garam Masala powder 
  • Red chili Powder -1tsp
  • Coriander powder -1/2tsp
  • Turmeric powder -1tsp
  • Cinnamon powder -1/4 tsp
  • Garlic-Ginger paste -2tsp
  • Green chilies -6, 7

For garnishing :-

Lemon, fresh
Coriander leaves , fried onions

How to make Haleem recipe in Easy steps :-

  1. First of all,heat oil in cooker.put meat in the cooker.
  2. Add garlic,ginger paste,red chili powder,coriander powder,turmeric powder,salt.
  3. Cook it like korma at low or medium flame.
  4. In a separate cooker or pan,boil wheat grains with water.
  5. When the grains become little mushy add rice and all lentils mentioned above(masoor dal,chana dal,arhar dal,moong dal,urad dal).
  6. By adding 2 glass of water,cook all lentils until it becomes soft.
  7. After cooking dals,blend it into fine paste.Keep aside.
  8. In a separate pan,add oil,add ginger garlic paste and saute well.Add green chilies,turmeric powder,black pepper powder,garam masala powder and mix well.
  9. After cooking 2 to 3 minutes,add the cooked meat and also the blended paste of cooked dals into it.
  10. Mix it well and keep stirring and mixing until the meat and dals get mixed well.
  11. Cook it for 5 to 10 minutes on low flame and keep stirring..
  12. HALEEM is ready to serve. 
  13. Spread heated oil or ghee all over it.
  14. Garnish with fried onions,chopped coriander leaves.
  15. Serve it with lemon and Biryani.
